The Dark Knight Rises retained the top spot in the domestic box office, earning an estimated $36.4 million on its third weekend. The final chapter of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy has now earned a total of $354.6 million domestically, which is $39 million less than The Dark Knight earned at this point in its run.
