I’m guessing here, but I suspect this new image from Lars von Trier’s new movie, showing Charlotte Gainsbourg engaged in a threesome with two men, comes closer than the previous image to illustrating why the filmmaker chose Nymphomaniac for a title.

It’s the sort of provocative image you would expect from a movie with that title. Gainsbourg, nude from the waist up, is shown standing in what looks to be a hotel room, sandwiched between two similarly disrobed black man.

Images and details about Nymphomaniac are starting to spill out because the still-unfinished movie is being shopped around to distributors at the European Film Market in Berlin.

Earlier this week, we posted the first released image, a movie still of Gainsbourg laying fully clothed in an alley.

The actress stars as a self-described nymphomaniac who is discovered badly beaten in an alley by an older man, played by Stellan Skarsgård, who takes her to his home and nurses her back to health. Over time, she tells him about her life, which one assumes is full of sexual adventures.

The movie supposedly will be released in two versions, one hardcore, the other more tame.

In addition to Gainsbourg and Skarsgård, the movie also stars Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman and Willem Dafoe.
