Marvel Cinematic Universe - 10-disc, six-movie limited edition Avengers collection

Whatever the merits of The Avengers as a movie experience (and its merits are considerable), it is safe to say that a huge part of it’s commercial success had to do with the build up. For four years, every Marvel superhero movie pointed to the ultimate assemblage of a supergroup – a diverse set of super-powered beings brought together to save the Earth.

Marvel just announced that it is bringing together all six movies into one limited-edition collection that it is calling Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled and released a preview mash-up trailer, which I’ve posted after the jump.

The 10-disc, limited edition collector’s set include Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D versions of Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger and Blu-Ray versions of The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man and Iron Man 2.

There also is a bonus disk titled The Phase One Archives and collectible packaging with exclusive Marvel memorabilia.
