First came the twzzr, then the teaser…Columbia today finally released the full-length trailer for The Wolverine. You can see it below.
Slated to be released on July 26, the new movie follows Logan to Japan, where he has been summoned by a man whose life he saved long ago. The dying friend wants to repay the favor by taking away from Logan the curse of immortality – the condition that allows his body to immediately repair any wound.
Directed by James Mangold from a script by Christopher McQuarrie, The Wolverine stars Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine and also features Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.
The movie reportedly ignores the previous, disappointing Wolverine movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and takes the character in a different direction.
