Russell Crowe in 'Broken City'

Russell Crowe put a good-sized dent in his career in 2005 when he threw a telephone at a hotel desk clerk. Cinderella Man, Crowe’s Ron Howard-directed boxing movie, did disappointing business after that. A Good Year, his follow-up, sank like a stone. Eight years later, the former A-lister still is playing supporting roles. His only hits have been movies, such as Les Miserables and American Gangster, that would’ve been hits even if Crowe weren’t in them (and I would argue that they would’ve been better movies without him).

What effect do you think it will have on his career now that he is suggesting he photographed a UFO through the window of his Woolloomooloo, Australia, office?
